Silent Hill 2 remake

Didn't know it was coming out at all ,super keen but have vowed never to pre order anything again. Hope it's great.

Didn't realise that people still pre-order games.

I love Silent Hill 2 but pre-ordering anything these days is a huge risk.
I look at " before you buy" articles before making a decision, but this was a no-brainer for me, I am a SH zealot.
Plus the steel book is a preorder incentive, and I plan to keep mine for good.

Did you get the play 2 days before the other plebs version?

If so please do give us a review, I like our regional pricing (US wankers having to cough up $60, lol) but it's also something that could Starfield me in the eye again.

Was there a silent hill 1 remake?
I played it on the PS1

Never played any in the series. I always was a bitch when it came to horror and scary levels in non-horror games though I have completed a few.

Thing about Horror games is despite the stories and stuff being entertaining, playing them is always like. “Deep breath… sigh” Here we go.

They’re not really fun and feels like the game is punishing you for playing. It’s more about the experience than actually having fun.

I dread all this crazy demo’s we’ve seen with UE5 and the creepy shyte these indie devs are coming up with.

I get where you are coming from, but there is something special about Silent Hill that sets it apart from any horror game I've ever played - that psychological, ingrain feeling of unease and fear made it a game I finished many times and still came back - kinda like watching LOTR;)

Oh trust me. I play this stuff. And definitely will be playing the silent hill remake. It’s like some kind of machoism or something.

I love the original SH2 as is. Don't think I want or need the remake tbh.

See, the thing is that the PS2 version had beautiful artwork, but it was not really "alive". Same as the Resident Evil series, the backgrounds were practically lifeless..
From the visuals I've seen, the remake provides an eerily realistic environment, almost like you're behind the guy with a camera, recording the whole thing.
The puzzles and story have also been tweaked to include more content on the history of Silent Hill, I'm truly excited about this!

I'm the same. Horror games intrigue me but I'm a sissy.

Took me a while to complete The Evil Within. When dear Laura, pic below, showed up I put the controller down

I liked the movie and tried the game after that. Only got an hour in and wasn’t really enjoying it, so haven’t tried since.
