I have had my latest 3GS for the last 2 months after my previous 3G was stolen.
during this time i upgraded to OS4 and i have had a few issues with my coverage and not getting calls, the calls would go direct to VM even though my phone was on.
Went to VC today to send the phone in for repairs as i have done a full restore and did not help.
To my suprise the attended did a sim swop for me and advised i try again.. the sime swop has just been activated and i cannot believe the difference in speed between the 2 sim cards.
He mentioned that there was a batch of faulty sim cards that enetered the market a while ago and i seemed to have one, my News 24 now loads in 2 sec compared to the old 5 - 10sec and facebook is almost instantaneous.
Just goes to show that sometimes its not the phone but simply a faulty sim that can cause alot of our frustration. I also now have a full 5 bards on 3G when i only had 3 bars in the exact smae seat this morning.
