Hi Guys, my MTN contract comes to an end soon and I am planning to go the prepaid route and see how it goes.

My only concern is that much easier to do a sim swap on a prepaid sim than with one linked to a contract with a name and ID and banking details etc.

I recently had to do a sim swap for my daughter's MTN sim that got lost and all I had to answer was 2 silly questions and then we got the number back.

So what would be the best way to protect yourself against sim swaps?

I saw Mtn launch MTN secure, so the number you Enter Is the number that will receive, the Sms for sim swapping. Dail; *141*0#, Enter 5 for Account, Enter 6 for Mtn Secure Enter 1 For Number And Finally Enter the number you which you would like to Receive the Sms for an Sim Swap.
