Simcity 2013

So... There have been some grand claims on the patches released and the internet seems to have calmed down a bit, both of which are good signs.

My question is, have the patches worked and should I buy this game now??
 
I am really enjoying it, must say just struggling getting my city set-up right. Decided to rather focus on a mining town first & then develop A tech town after that. Lots of fun still to have.

I am the same, struggling to get my cities setup right... I am currently treating the whole region as one area, one city are for water and another city to supply power to the others.. and see if that works better

My problem is I am trying to do everything in one tile of the region, I've decided to make my own private game & just experiment with it, rather like you get my utilities from one city & the cops/fire from another etc, & not explode & run out of space to build.
I am bit miffed about only using the grid system to build it is the most efficient but it looks fugly, i tend to get have a lot of curves going in my city.

Ive tried this. Didnt work so leka for me. Traffic slowed emergency services from the other cities etc... its hard not to have heavy traffic coming in and out if u only basically have one exit
 
So is the game fixed yet? If so, rating out of 10? Most online ratings are like 2-4 out of 10 lol but its due to the DRM and connection issues. Wondering how the game is if it is fixed.
 
nope still not 100% the connection issues are sorted. but there are problems with the simulation. I am enjoying the game but the city sizes and traffic issues are becoming really annoying.

If there was ever a game to pirate, it's this one. And although I always advocate buying games and not pirating, this is once where being a pirate is the right thing to do.
 
Ok cool. Will hold out for a while longer then. Perhaps wait for the price to drop or Origin special as well.
 
The best part of Simcity 5 is the free game they offered because of what a piece of !#$$#@% the game turned out to be. I took Modern Warfighter, very cool game :D
