Since when cable doesnt come with printer any more?

It is very rediculious.

I bought a new printer today,but had to spend R70 to buy a cable.

Imagine maybe you have to buy a cable for your new screen or what ever.

Ennn.I don't understand.

Printers dont come with a cable but scanners do I dont see why they cant pack one in the box its realy irratating.

Printers using usb cables almost never come with the cables. It's been like that for quite some time and also think it was probably since printers started coming out with usb ports.

The biggest reason I think it's stupid is because a lot of people will be unaware of this and will go home only to find that they need a cable. This will confuse a lot of people and they will wonder how to work the damn thing cause it doesn't come with a cable to plug it in. Worst of all is that the shops where you buy the printer won't let you know either!

Think its just a way of making printers look dirt cheap, especially in places like Game etc. Then they sell you an overpriced cable to up the profit. Same way with cellphones you have to buy a R200 starter pack etc.

Where did you buy the printer from? I'd tell the management of the place that the salesmen you dealt with didn't inform you that you needed an extra cable. I did that, don't think that salesmen sold another printer ex usb cable
