Download a short HD video clip from here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/musicandvideo/hdvideo/contentshowcase.aspx

Put it on your laptop and take it with you, connect it up and see the differance. Those arseholes at game probably think dvd is HD.

Yes. (BTW, makro)

I have the Full HD 42" Sinotech, and I wanna know what "better" quality looks like, cause it looks perfect to me.

I find it beter than a PC LCD even, simply because of more Real-Estate (versus my 22"), No Black color bleeding, and no wonky colors on any angle other than Straight ahead.

Look at the Resolution and specs, Side-by-side comparison, warranty, features and cost, and you will see sinotech is the better choice.

Good Luck, and be sure to report back!

Well resolution isn't the only spec of a monitor.

There is also:

1. Backlight - is it CCFL, wide HDR CCFL or LED?
2. Contrast (influenced by BL too)
3. Motion - is it smooth or jerky?
4. Colour depth? Is it a 6bit with dithering (cheap), 8 bit or even 10bit colour panel?
5. Circuitry.
6. Upscaler.
7. Part and assembly quality.

Not saying your screen is low quality, but pointing out that res and viewing angles aren't everything.

Finally, people get used to what they have. Even a mediocre screen may look brilliant if you look long enough at it. Hence if you're short of cash getting a cheap one is a good option.

I wasn't talking to you, hence the quote in my previous post.

I just said yes to your quote, as-in I agree with the post.

I wasn't talking to you either - why would I tell you take a laptop to macro?

Anyway, the Thread is about Sinotec VS LG.

LG is crap, and they had to pull back some of their "greatest" range, the scarlet, due to the HDMI not working with the PS3. how on earth did they not see that?

Sinotech has 2 of these inputs, and both of them work. plus, LG don't have USB input, sinotec does (Supports Mp3's, Jpeg and Xvid's)

I'm betting for R8000-R9000 you can get either:

LG---------------Sinotec
32"--------------42"
1366x768--------1920x1080
(HD Ready)------(Full HD)
1 HDMI----------2x HDMI
-----------------USB Input
-----------------Wallmount
1 Yr Garuantee---5 Year Garuantee

Except that he has R6k to spend, I am starting to wonder if you will ever consider another TV besides your own? :)

A Tata with electric windows doesn't make it better than a Honda with manual windows. Do you really want a Tata proudly displayed in your lounge? :p

Well, if you only have R50,000 to spend on transport i'd suggest a R49,000 tata over a R60,000 Expensive Honda Bicycle.

Seriosly people, There is nothing wrong with the sinotec, especially if you don't have that much cash to burn....

Honda makes bicycles?

Size and resolution isn't everything dude, if you could spot the difference between 720p and 1080p I'd be astounded TBH.
