Sinotec VS LG

The only thing thats worrying me a bit my mates that went to go test it said they couldnt get it to work at high res im sure they must of missed something i dont see why it wouldnt work at that res

i'm PRETTY SURE NOW that makro, game etc use crap cables.

I dunno if they want the more expensive models to have better looking demo's or something, so they sell more of them? i May be wrong on this, I dunno...

but when I got home the screen was bigger, better looking, and better visuals then what it looked like in the store (maybe smaller cause your eyes can't judge size properly - a 42" looks TINY when the bigger 46", and 52" screens are next to it. also the lighting in those shops are unnaturally bright.

You can return it the next week if it doesn't work like u want to, they will refund you. they really take hellopeter seriously:eek: have a look on hellopeter.com and see for yourself.

...or because you've got nothing to compare it to? ;)

IMHO: You're quite the evangelist for Sinotec, but your rationalizations sound to me like a way to deal with cognitive dissonance.

Um... The LG contrast ratio is 15000:1, not 1500:1.....
I had a Sansui with a 5yr guarantee.... gave me so many gray hairs it's not even funny...

You do know that, that 15000:1 is dynamic right?

The actual contrast is also probably 2000:1.

i'm talking about sinotec CAUSE I HAVE ONE - so how the fsck would you know if you don't own one?
Read my post, it's my opinion. I'm just not a radical evangelist about the set that I have like you are. I happily spent more than I would have on a Sinotec, Maxtec, Telefunken, Sansui or Logik because I don't trust Chinese design, engineering and back-up. For me the small increase in picture quality is worth the substantially higher price to buy a brand that has world-wide acceptance.

So feel free to compare like with like, but stop spamming that your set has a Samsung panel and outperforms the branded models. The Sinotecs are cheap and cheerful, be happy with that.

I never said it outperforms the branded models, I said it's much better value with what you get for a much lower price.

I'm sorry for standing behind sinotec if it upsets you that much, but if it weren't for them, i would sit with either a smaller 32" Low-Res Screen (Sammy, Sony, LG Scarlet) or a cheap crap branded 42"

(prolly would of bought the 32"...)

So, my friend recently bought a 32", and with me used to a 42", the 32" just looks miniature against mine.

So I'm glad sinotec offered me a hi-quality, hi-res fullHD 42" for about the same price as a 32" with crappier resolutions, shorter warranty, faulty hdmi(Scarlet) and no wallmount and no USB input.

So i don't care - i'm just another over the moon sinotec customer, If you don't like it, move on.

I don't diss the namebrands unless it needs to be said (Like for EXAMPLE "hey, it has no remote? mine is cheaper and it does!")

im sure they must of missed something

(prolly would of bought the 32"...)

Am I missing something or has it become common to use the word "of" instead of "have"???

Anyways : Off topic, but how much will I OF to diss out to buy a wall-mount bracket for my 40" SONY?
:D (See how stupid it looks???)

GREAT POST!!! Haha.

Its not as bad as "try and do something" instead of the correct "try to do something" but this of instead of have seems to be a new fad.

Ok i just got back from game again. Looked at that Sinotec connected up to one of games cheap pc's with, onboard graphics, vga and with a res of 1600X1200 and it looked sexy! Now imagine with a proper card and using HDMI instead of vga. I'm going tomorrow to buy it!

Sinotec 42" LCD Full HD

I got a Samsung 32" LCD which is 5 months old. Am going to check the 42" Sinotech out at Game tonight and probably purchase it! R8000 for a Full HD is the best buy ever.

How much can I sell my Samsung for? :)
It's the LA32S81 model with the chrome along the base. They go brand new for about R6500-R7000.
So, I was thinking about selling for R5000. Still got all paperwork and box for it :)
Anyone want to buy?

well fsck me sideways - I payed R10,000 for my 42" (and it was on special, was only 10,000 for a week, was actually R11,000 after the special!

damn..i shoulda waited:(

till when is the special on, till sunday?

42" is quite bigger than a 32", but you got a good set there mate - why all the effort for 10" bigger - rather save and get a 47" or something :D

Ah, I mainly want the Full HD resolution. And 10" extra is massive. A whole 3rd more in width. \o/ Bigger = greater coolness factor!

holly crap - that thing looks even better than the model I have now.

I see LG's 42" screen has a lower res than their 32"? what gives?

i mean, it's got less pixels which makes it's pixels bigger, and it's a bigger screen, so the pixels are even bigger with that added as well!

i don't see the point of a crappy 1024x resolution on a 42"
