Sinotech 47" R7999 Makro

I bought the 42" 2 months ago and have had 0 problems.
 
Dont they have the 46" Sinotec with 2 hdmi's at game for R7499?
 
Dont know the model i saw this morning at Game but the Logik & Sinotec was R7499, both had 2 hdmi's. The Logik i checked myself & the sales guy said the Sinotec had 2 as well.
 
Still very happy with my Sinotec 42" (2hdmi ports).
I have it for almost a year now.
 
game's website sucks..can't check if they have the 46" Sinotec

1. Burn-in was an issue with early generation Plasma's. It is a non-issue with current generation Plasma's made in the last 2-3 years. At least no more of an issue than old CRT TV's. Yep, leave an image frozen on the TV for a day or two, and you'll get burn in. I pause live TV, game, haven't changed my TV viewing habits at all, and haven't experienced burn-in. It's really a huge misconception from a few generations back.

2. Life span is another misconception. Current generation Plasma's have the same life-span as LCD's. Current Plasma's take about 68 years to reach half life, assuming you watch about 4 hours per day.

3. LCD may be newer technology, but that doesn't make it better. It's biggest advantage is inherent brightness, and ability to cope with reflective light. It doesn't come near old CRT's or Plasmas when it comes to picture quality. It's inherent flaw is black levels, and the consequence of this is poor color reproduction. It's only the very top-end LCDs that can compete with bottom-of-the-range Plasmas when it comes to picture quality, and black levels.

Most of the above is fairly well documented. The sales guy will most likely push the bright LCD screen though... ;)

I have no bias towards Plasmas btw - I own 2 LCDs and a Plasma. One of my LCD's is a 2010 model Bravia 40". It doesn't come anywhere close to the Plasma.

Can't say I'm happy with my 42" Sinotec - have weird problems with 1080p and dynamic contrast, not something you'll pick up just looking at it in-store.

If you have 10k rather get a Sony or Samsung.

Would be an excellent choice. I have the 50" version of the same TV. We haven't watched as much TV since... forever. Watched movies through the night last week-end, till sunrise! Seriously, the picture quality on the Samsung Plasmas is mesmerizing :)
 
Do you get any plasmas that offer full hd?
