Previously when I had a sinus attack, I used the green Sinutabs, but of late the effectivity dropped. So I switched over to Advil CS to get rid of the sinus, and it works good.

What do you guys use should you get any sinus attack/headaches?

I find Suncodin help a lot with easing sinus related stuff ....take them in conjunction with some Adco-Diclofenac and it should help.

I haven't found anything worthwhile yet. I'm not sure if it's sinuses/allergies/hay fever that is my problem. I sneeze and I've got splitting head aches some days.

I've got some generic anti histamines I take though, but they don't offer the relief normal allergex does ;)

Usually I just drink loads of water & some coffee + stay clear of sugar. If it's really bad and waiting it out isn't an option then I just use asperine or disperine or something like that.

TL: Caffeine is said to boost the effectiveness of painkillers....thats why many painkillers contain 20mg or so. Maybe a cup of coffee in conjunction with whatever might help.

You lie :p I always wondered why my headache feels better after I gulp 2 pain killers with coffee ;)

Snort salt water. It's really bad but really works.

Iliadin really helps with clearing the nose etc.

Yes, it works like a bomb, but you can't use it for longer than 10 days.

Had my last sinus op a couple of years ago, where they removed pollyps etc. Haven't had sinus problems since (this was the 2nd op).

 We're trying to help TL, not harm him.

Nobody try the salt/saltwater suggestion plz. Biological cells react *really* badly to salt solutions. (They die)

Snorting salt water is a crude way of saying do nasal irrigation with salt water. The mixture should be about one level teaspoon of salt per half liter of warm water. This is called an isotonic solution and is the same salt ratio as found in our blood. It is not dangerous. Use the instructions found on the link I gave above or google neti pot. It may seem like a mission but it takes like 5 min once you get the hang of it...

I have got incredibly bad sinus's - inherited this trait from my dear father.
I cant use any of the currently know sinus meds, such as Advil, Sinutab etc..
Those pills dont do much to clear the problem if anything they make it worse by hardening the mucus in your nasal cavities. For me this is the worst possible effect as i end up with pains that make my face split apart. Also seasonal problems with Sinus.

What i find works, is the daily usage of Flexinase nasal spray which takes my heyfever and any sinus issues away, obviously only with prolonged usage.

A little trick to solve a sinus ache quickly without medication is to warm up some water, add a pinch of salt and some bicarb of soda (the bicarb eats the mucus). Mix it well, take a straw and fill it with some of the solution.
Get down on the floor and place the top of your head on the floor so you are in essence standing on your head, although you dont need to stand. Put the straw in one nostril and let the fluid run out. This runs down the bridge of your nose into your upper cavity. Once filled up, stand normally and hold nose closed, shake head slightly to work fluids around, then blow softly into a tissue. This helps alot as the salt cleans infections and the bicarb unclogs..

maybe in a big amount, coming from a qualified doctor, salt water helps, its more a saline solution.

Yep, I've tried a Saline solution before, but as soon as I snort it I sneeze it all out, so I don't see the use :p
