Siphiwe Nyanda cleared of wrongdoing

it's so sad how this govt. can screw up all the momentum SA gained from the WC.
even i have become all patriotic but stuff like this just beats you back down to the reality which is our country.

how can you foster a nation of people who love this beautiful country if this is the leadership and this is how they get away with things.

"It was therefore important to note that whatever adverse findings by the Public Protector on this matter did not affect Nyanda's standing,"

Either I am more dyslexic than I've been told, or that sentence made about as much sense as Steam saying I'm getting an averaged 80kb/s download speed on a 384kbps line.

Public protector - such a waste of name and office and MONEY!

IMO, he is a pr!ck and I hold him and Ivy responsible for holding back SA's communications advancement

Nothing will happen to Nyanda - he is Zuma's buddy.

Look at ol' Shabir Shaik, only served 2 of his 15 year jail sentence and already back home and shopping.

And let's not forget about Rasool - paid journalists to make him look good in the Western Cape & now he is the SA ambassador in the USA.

Life is good if you're connected in the ANC.

No wrong doing at all. Just another Cader living the dream. Vote ANC and this could be you! Your ANC vote will turn you into a millionaire, eradicate poverty, improve education, house the homeless...

Sounds like a Mickey Mouse investigation to me. This guy gets tenders awarded to his companies despite those awards being in violation of some serious rules. His prices are the highest, competition suddenly disappears because of "urgency" which leads to suspension of the normal process, his pals (Gama) award him tenders at twice their authorised amount. You need a real investigation, probing all the various links and people who could have benefited, for that you need political will and a real public protector. Not something that JZ has the stomach for right now it would seem. Seems if you had links with Mbeki, then you are stuffed (Selebi, Nqakula), otherwise party on.

Good luck to us.

Exactly...

They are the servants of the public that voted them in to give them housing and essential services. Its easy to keep the masses loyal by handing out food parcels and them being uneducated and not knowing they are the ones suffering this corruption. THEY SERVE US! Not the other way around, our money is not to be spent on them living the life in 5 star hotels, costing well over R200K and driving a million rand German sedans!!!!

FFS if I wasn't white, I'd be in government trying to make a change. But I know I have no chance of doing anything in my current situation. The people are suffering out there, wish they would see the government doesn't give 2 ****s about them :( (us bandwidth addicts included, just to a much lesser extent)

I feel your pain.

We really need a few good men & women in parliament to make a difference, but sadly it doesn't look like there's any left. And let's not forget the Travelgate saga, all those dishonest ministers should have been fired, but instead they just got a slap on the wrist.

It makes me sick.
