Siphiwe Nyanda cleared of wrongdoing

And what is going to happen about this?

However, Madonsela further found that the statement issued to the media by Nyanda supporting the then CEO of TFR – Siyabonga Gama -- who was the subject of a disciplinary inquiry by Transnet, violated section 2.3(d) of the Code in that Nyanda used his office improperly to benefit the erstwhile CEO.

It was therefore important to note that whatever adverse findings by the Public Protector on this matter did not affect Nyanda's standing, his credibility and had no impact on his position as communications minister or member of society.
Pahlease, can we just get a freaking minister who is dedicated to the task at hand into the position.
Is that really too much to ask?

Maybe he IS a nice guy after all and the media keep blowing things out of proportion. Then again, 6 months in 5* luxury hotels is a little absurd... won't undo the damage to his already tarnished reputation...

What was the reason for 6months of 5*STAR luxury again? Was it a life threatening allergy to 4*STAR accommodation? I read something about his bed-mattress not being good enough at his MP place-of-stay...

A mere technicality. As long as you voted for Zuma at Polokwane you can't possibly be guilty of any wrongdoing.

Sounds like a Mickey Mouse investigation to me. This guy gets tenders awarded to his companies despite those awards being in violation of some serious rules. His prices are the highest, competition suddenly disappears because of "urgency" which leads to suspension of the normal process, his pals (Gama) award him tenders at twice their authorised amount. You need a real investigation, probing all the various links and people who could have benefited, for that you need political will and a real public protector. Not something that JZ has the stomach for right now it would seem. Seems if you had links with Mbeki, then you are stuffed (Selebi, Nqakula), otherwise party on.

Good luck to us.

Once again...another typical South African Norm.

Can be debated and discussed but nothing will change unless done by individuals.

Don't waste time on talking about these Government Retards. Even though this "Big" Strike will effect me as well...good... in a way. It will effect them as well. Maybe Sofie will not like to take out their S$%t.

Mmmm. Wonder if he paid donations tax on those shares donated to his children's trust.
