Skype Virus - did anyone else get caught today?

Oh my hat!!! Today, I got a skype message from a contact at my work, something about a profile pic, so I clicked on the link and it was like a zip thing, and it looked legit, so I clicked on it, and omg, it sent that link to all my contacts!!! My skype lit up like a christmas tree with everyone asking me what is going on and then it sent from their skype also haha! I managed to get it removed with malware.

Did this happen to anyone else?

Lol true! I had received messages from everyone, and the people in Tanzania was like what is this and they clicked on it and then it happened to them to and they were scolding me that I broke their computers lol - was a rough morning haha

Skype is cool and all, but I hate that you have to go through so much trouble to close it completely. :twisted:

Doesn't your office use anti virus product?

Yes, we have a NOD something, but it did not pick it up I got rid of the two worms with malwarebytes and I installed MSE after that and took the NOD hing off.
