Skype's demise

I have been marking this sad day and the email I received from Skype regarding their shutdown to remind me to look for an alternate option for cheap international landline calling.

What else do we have out there? Apparently you need a US phone number for Google Voice. Does Viber do the job?

"Teams me" is already quite natural for most of the places Ive worked over the last couple of years, most of them use teams as a regular office communication method

Just made an international call to a SA mobile number via Skype at 2pm (UTC +8) on 6 May and it still worked fine.

Tried again at 8:40pm (UTC +8) and it still worked. The whole US is already on 6 May, so it should be "shut down" by now.
