Works now with version 1.6 and up.

Reason it's ~1.4MB is because I've included pics of the ingredients.

If anyone wants to help with the icons I need:

Main app icon: 3 resolutions (72x72, 48x48, 36x36)
ingredients icon: 3 resolutions (72x72, 48x48, 36x36)
effects icon: 3 resolutions (72x72, 48x48, 36x36)

i have a sub-quest saying i must find a book named "children of the sky" but i already have it. and when i go to spot on map that quest marker show i must go to i only find a empty chest. what must i do?

If you are on PC you can try to use console commands to further the quest. You can check out uesp.net or elderscrolls.wikia.com for info about it. I only found the book when searching for "children of the sky", so you might need to search for the quest giver or faction.

If you're on xbox or ps3, then you're kinda out of luck. You can check the wiki's to see if there is possible solutions for the quest as well. Sometimes there are. Or wait until Bethesda patches it. Make sure to report it so that Bethesda is aware of it.

Thanks, not too shabby :)

I was using http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Ingredients before for help with ingredients, and http://ie.ign.com/wikis/the-elder-scrolls-5-skyrim/Potions lists ingredients for some potions with 3 or 4 effects that are useful if you want to make some money back from the dark brotherhood alchemy trainer.

Since I finished the game already I started up a new fun character a couple of days ago. level40 in 3 hours. The only cheat I used was to give myself 300k gold with the console.

- Got sneak to level100 at the start of the game in 20 mins by sneaking by the bear and just attacking the companion. The secret is not to add the backstab damage perk before you get to 100 sneak. This way you can hack away like crazy without killing the companion in one shot and having to wait for him to get up.
- Got persuation to lvl100 in about 20 mins by persuading the shopkeeper in Riften over and over again.
- Got blacksmithing to lvl100 in about 30 mins by making iron daggers.
- Got enchanting to to lvl100 in about 30 mins by enchanting the iron daggers.
- Whilst leveling up the above skills I bought 5 skills from the trainers on every level up. So my one hand skill and light armour skill were also at around 60 each by the time I was done leveling.

So now I'm level40 with full double-enchanted glass amour after only killing 3 wolves on the way to Riverwood. I only visited Riften, Whiterun and the College of Winterhold for the trainers. Have yet to start any quests or even deliver the message to the Earle of Whiterun about the dragon at Helgen :)

Edit: fixed a force close bug.

The biggest update is the included "inventory" option. You can now select what ingredients you have in your inventory and it will show you which effects/ingredients match together.

Please uninstall the old version before downloading this one.

If anything goes wrong, let me know.

And I'm still looking for the following icons if anyone's interested:

OK I looked at it in detail and do find it cool. Only things that need some work is obviasly the overall design.

What I can add is I can give you an idea to add seeing that you have the basics to make it something sell-able.

The basic idea is to select an effect and it will then give you a list of ingredients needed for that effect, if you select the 2 you have and say click on more it should list a 2nd effect that you can get when mixing 3 increments together if you expand on that effect it should list the ingriants needed for that 2nd effect.

If you need I have a full DB of 3 ingredients and their potions they create.

Also on the icon, I am busy creating one, do you want me to post it here or pm it?

So if I understand correctly, when selecting 2 or more ingredients that have more than 1 matching effect each than you will get a potion/poison with both effects in it?

That db url doesn't work for me, unless I'm doing something wrong.

I'm struggling to understand the 3 ingredient concept. Do all 3 ingredients have to have matching effects?

Or do they match as long as 1 ingredient has a matching effect in another ingredient?

If you use 3 ingredients you can get extra effects out of a potion for example if you mix Luna Moth Wing + Spider Egg + Vampire Dust you get Damage Mana on weapon and Regen HP as well as Invisibility out of one potion.

Its a simple text file so you should say save as
 
wonderful. I'm level 35 redguard, almost maxed out two handed and heavy armour at lvl 78, ebony fine ebony enchancted greatsword (101 + 20 dmg) and fine enchanted orcish armour. I go into a cave to kill a bandit leader. ONE bandit thug runs up to me wearing nothing but fur armour and takes two swipes at me with her dagger and I DIE!!!! WTF! I reload kill the thug after about ten solid hits from my sword (thats means the thug had over a 1000 HP) and I check the dagger she used and its a plain old 6 dmg iron dagger. OMG! And this happens regularly with bandits! The NPC levelng system is definitely screwed.

'tgm' is going to get used a lot just to avoid these situations...
 
Anyone knows where to find ebony swords? Not a greatsword, just the one handed type? I've got the ebony armour, boots, gauntlets and one ebony sword. I like fighting with dual swords, so I need one more.
