I have the same machine, hose and mask, the Climate air hose was worth the money for not getting drowned in condensation

I also alternate with the Resmed P10 Nasal Pillow as the nose mask sometimes itches and puts pressure on my sinus

Have you tried the Oscar software? Offers way better stats on your sleep apnea compared to the manufacturers apps, https://www.sleepfiles.com/OSCAR/
Ooh I haven't will def check it out, thanks for sharing.

Has anybody tried this app for mask recommendations?

Seems pretty cool, just not sure how good it works. I got the following recommendations:

The masks I have been given for the tests/trials all seem to leak a lot, so I am trying to do proper homework now.

It's got cr@p reviews on the Play Store.

So, after what felt like half an eternity, I got the report on my titration test. I did (probably not nearly enough) shopping around and ended up getting the Resmed Airsense 10 autoset with Resmed Autofit N30i mask from a place in Brooklyn (Pretoria). If you're interested, I will share, but don't feel like advertising. Since my Discovery savings was almost depleted, I expected to run over into the above threshold benefit (no self payment gap after I carried over a shipload of savings last year); but to my surprise, Discovery is paying a portion out of the scheme and used only about 6k of my savings. I was positively surprised. Correction - I see that a portion of the ATB was in fact used, so I am baffled a bit, but such is life...

So I slept with the new machine last night, knowing that load shedding will hit at 4:00 AM. I was awake by 3:00 AM, because my 3-year old had made his way to our bed and was taking up most of the space. I checked the report and it all looked good - AHI of only 2.1. On the website, I scored 87/100, which I think is great for a first night that ended early. Considering when I woke up, I am feeling quite refreshed and ready for the day. I think it can still get better and am excited about that.

Will def get better as you get used to the machine, I cannot sleep without mine and need to find a decent backup power supply. Also need to replace my mask as the headgear is poked. Going on 3 years old now.

They have a power "harness" at the place I bought mine, that connects to a 12V battery - R1200. Alternatively, the have a UPS system for R5k. It is on my to-do list.

Shot - I saw that the supplier in CTN also has options for the same price - also on the to do list :)

So it's been an interesting journey so far.

I find that sleeping with the AC on, I find my nostrils very dry most mornings, even when using the humidifier. Is that the reason for buying heated tubing?

The heated tubing helps prevent the condensation from forming in the mask and tubes, if your humidifier is on max it wont help unfortunately
It also has sensors inside so allows the auto setting to work etc

Im by the coast and couldnt put my humidifier more than 50% without condensation before I got the heated tube

You'll see the benefit of the heated tube in winter.

So i bought a battery pack and inverter/charger with the necessary adapter for my Resmed S10. Works fine, but doesn't like the humidifier to be used. A little search got me a power consumption table in the online manual. I suppose I will be sleeping through tonight's loadshedding without the humidifier.

If anybody is looking for a power solution, I can put you in touch with the company I bought from.
