I want to go SLI, but i have a Asus 7900GT Top and a XFX 7900GT XTREME EDITION will it be possible?

As long as the chipset is the same, ie, 7900GT, then it is possible.
Clock speeds don't matter, it will operate at the slower speed.

did you check out the nvidia sli website?

As the guys pointed out, you can clock speeds and memory is the same then you can do that. I remember reading on the website that the memory is an important factor with sli.

so geek one card being stock 800 memory and another card being 950 memory wont matter?

even if both come stock like that?

ahhhhh i thought it would make a huge difference

maybe its like ddr 400 and ddr 333 will just run at 333

Which is it?:D

The Asus has a clock of 520mhz and a memory clock of 1440mhz and the XFX clock = 560mhz and memory = 1650mhz.

So according to thisgeek it will work and will run at the asus clock speeds.

and according to sdd it wont?

Thanx MrE i didn't see your post there for a sec.
This will help!
:D
