Slow as hell this morning

I wake up at around 6:00Am, Only to find my connection bearly even loading. Everything just says "Waiting for..." yet at 12:00AM my connection was an awesome 1.24mbps. Am I the only one? I doubt it's conjestion at this time of the morning?

I couldn't even complete a Speedtest, so you can imagine what I went through to get to post this.

F$%^ it's annoying!
 
This is bloody irritating. I've been getting less than 7Kbs this last 2 weeks since I canceled Neotel!. I've been routinely rebooting, unplugging the USB cable from the device, hard resetting the device, redialed and redialed and redialed!... Today is no exception. Since 5 this morning most international sites are timing out, and even getting to MyBB has been an utter ball ache!. I seriously doubt i'm getting anything faster than 3Kbs this morning if anything at all!

I thought I was the only one. But it seems like I'm in the same boat.
 
Tero - The word on MyBB is people on Neotel are canceling in droves - I did, and I for one is Damn happy especially when you have to put up with Crap speeds like this!. Been battling to post since my last post! I've now resorted to pulling out all the cables, flipping the unit, and pulling the battery wire to shut the damn thing off (lights on the device won't go off after I told it to shut down!)

You and everybody else on Neotel having anything less than what they expect should cancel! - Its the right thing to do! Until Neotel can show people they are interested and serious about providing a decent service - anything less is a waste of money!

I tried calling the helpdesk earlier (obviously closed on sundays) the call quality is absolutely shocking - so much for having superior voice quality on their service! - luckly I don't ever use the device for phone calls!

I'm absolutely funing this morning - can't do anything online!

Currently I'm getting less than 1Kbs and it took me almost 40 minutes to get to repost since my last post!
 
I'm experiencing the same problem. At 1am this morning things started going haywire and I just gave up and went to bed. This morning I wasn't even getting more than 5Kb/s.

Worst of all, I tried phoning the call centre a few mins ago and no matter what option I selected I always got put back to the beginning.

Neotel, sort your **** out. The 2010 soccer is on its way and if this is the way your service is going to carry on then you're in for a shock when you see your already small customer base dwindle to nothing.
 
Typing from my Omnia which is giving lekker internet than this flippen crap neotel device. Think i will check telkom 4meg line & get a 384k account from axcess. Dammit

okay... looks like i have a dash of speed again... not going faster than 7Kbs again.... but atleast i can post!... been sitting here watching movies clicking the refresh button every few minutes and resetting the device from time to time....

I did get thru to the call center earlier, the lady I spoke to said that its a national problem and that they are attending to it! No less, had to use my Cell phone to call the call center cause the Neotel phone's quality sounds like a CD that's skipping horribly!

Neotel runs on 4 x AA batteries.
The local shop had run out so they sent a rep on a bicycle to the next town.
He is back now with the batteries and things are working again.
 
The Disconnections/Reconnections started 2am spot on and only has returned to 'normal' within the last hour. I know this because I had a skype call planned 2am my time to the US (Murphey's Law).

I wanted to say thank you very much Neotel, you seem to have a knack at knocking off my service when I need it most and yet it seems to run smoothly when I am AFK.

I am only hanging in there wishing more users will cancel with Neotel so that my service and reliability will improve as ADSL is not an option.
 
My speed has picked up again, back to FLYING status, was doing 200KB/s (up and down but averaging out at 200KB/s) but now back down to 100KB/s

So long I keep getting 100KB/s I'm happy, anything MORE is a moerse bonus.
 
gdiza - you're very patient... I cannot wait for my DSL to be enabled this week. I've had enough!
