Telkom LTE ALSO grinding to a halt July2016

Please do not wish you have Telkom Mobile, we Telkom users (100gb+100Gb package) have the exact same problem:mad:. My Telkom has been great for a year, but now grinds to a halt everyday 5:30-11pm since March2016, you can perttymuch be sure of 1MB download. I was very much hoping to move to CELLC away from Telkom, now I don't know where to go anaymore after reading this thread!

You can check coverage in your area and even get a test sim card for free at a Cell C store. Please refer to https://www.cellc.co.za/cellc/coverage-map.

I recall also buying a 100GB from Cell C a while ago using Cell C's Nokia 3G modem I bought at the same time. It worked fine for a short while and went south from there and recall the same hideous ping times. I'm tempted to try the 100GB on my MiFi device. The APN seems to have the same name called "internet". So with LTE in Cape Town it seems good.

I bought the 100GB prepaid and had endless problems with dropped connections on my CellC branded ZTE modem. Now its working perfectly (mostly) on a Huawei Wifi router. Although your mileage may vary.

I sadly have to report that over the past few days my cellc internet has been so bad I can hardly open a page. This is the same 100GB prepaid package that I took out with the hope that both my laptop and phone can use over a wifi connection. I have been able to do that but the speeds have been dismal. Modem shows I'm connected to 3G but the speeds i'm getting do not even come close to 3G speeds.

Is there an issue with CellC that we should know of or what is the plan forward when one has all this data at a very competitive price but can hardly load a page and browse the web?? (unhappy).
