slow today....

Their service in Edenvale/Greenstone seems to be contented heavily. I am outside the coverage zone by 100 or so meters with no LOS and during non-peak times (everything except 6pm – 8pm) I get 25Mbps constantly.

During peak times my speeds drop to < 10Mbps.

My first month of data has run out but I am planning on scheduling automated speedtests the whole of next month to prove my point. Planning to scrape the signal information along with every test to prove that it remains consistent while speeds fluctuate.

Why would your signal fluctuate? If your router is sitting in the same place, you'd expect signal levels to be more or less constant, barring extreme weather events. It's not like a cellphone that you're moving around with. Congestion on a tower should obviously affect speed but shouldn't affect signal.

In the area I am there must be very few RAIN customers because my signal just lights up one light on the modem, 2 bars if I go into the web interface, and I get consistently above 40 Mbps download (though my uploads are poor, only ~2Mbps).
 
Not so happy today.. up until now i was getting roughly 30Mbps... suddenly around lunchtime today, this...

We really do need a Rain rep in here to answer questions...
So I'm still stuck on 3Mbps but just seen my neighbor next door is getting 35Mbps! So it's likely not the tower.. Will move router and check again
 
I noticed this morning that speedtest is showing speeds of 3-4mbps, but when I download, I get full speed, eg> 40mbps....
 
Rain network isn't up to standards today when it comes to international traffic had to refresh the page a few times before it could load but local websites loaded instantly..

Latency 40 ms(average)
Speed during peak 7-8 meg
Coverage: 1 bar not visible on coverage map
Subscriber: over a week. Service was excellent except on Sunday when international websites were Inaccessible (Europe). Frequently now experiencing disconnection or no throughput
