Cant you just add one of those ip's into your browser, instead of using googles' accelerator?
As for your phone resetting... I can't really see how that could be VMs fault and I certainly never get that. Maybe the data stalling has just made VM users paranoid so now every phone error seems to be part of the larger VM conspiracy...
There are also issues with data cards resetting, Windows even plays a sound to indicate the card was removed and re-inserted. Initially, Virgin Mobile blamed this on the 64K SIM cards, but it still happens, although not as often, with the replacement 128K SIM cards. It has never happened to me with a Vodacom or an MTN SIM card. Even if the signal strength drops to zero, the data card handles it gracefully. As for your phone resetting... I also can't see any correlation between the two. I know some sims can cause resetting, but it is not network related in any way and can certainly not be affected by network issues. It appears data cards are more temperamental to these things. Possibly because they just reset whenever there is a problem. I have to say that I used to have resets on 3G, maby the stack overflowing because of the large amount of data transfer. I can't remember any resets on Virgin. I also think people are just paranoid and attributing all their phone problems to Virgin now just because it coincides with the network problems. As for your phone resetting... But I still cant think that this Could even be VM’s ‘fault’.
VM have assured me its the network not the 128K SIMs. It just doesn't make sense to me either. Despite insisting that it was the network, they still sent me another 128K SIM, which makes me think they're not exactly sure. Second 128K SIM made no difference, my data card still resets with it in.This is not the first time I had resets(again not with Voda/MTN
) but I still don’t think that this is VM's fault or that they have anything to do with this. It’s just weird. I'm going to get myself a new 128K sim...maybe that'll 'help' or something.
Doesn't make any difference, if anything it was slower the day I used it.This is not the first time I had resets(again not with Voda/MTN

How can that be when Virgin is the sloooowest on the planet.Just be assured that in my experience Vodacom is NOT any better in terms of speed etc.
How can that be when Virgin is the sloooowest on the planet.![]()
That's subjective - my VM GPRS is way faster than my VLive! ever was.
I'm currently using a 64K SIM and occasionally my GPRS becomes unresponsive and I can't get it to disconnect until I manually reset my phone (although it still frantically sends and receives data, wasting my airtime). I'm not sure if this is SIM-related - it's probably just a coincidence.
Do I need to sign up all over agin if I want a 128K SIM and will they charge me if I want to tranfer my number to the new SIM?
He changed it after I posted that. It used to read "Virgin Mobile, the sloooowest internet on the planet ... ", until he contradicted it with that Vodacom statement.O, sorry Prometheus, I see you're referring to Skeptik's signature. Notice he says "ONE OF THE sloooowest". So the others would be Vodacom, MTN and Cell C. They're all slow.
