Hi All,

I have just received an offer from Telkom for their Smart Home Essential @ R223/month on a 2 year contract. It includes:
ADSL Line with up to 2Mbps Line Speed
10GB SoftCap Anytime Data
Unlimited Night Surfer Data
Unlimited Weekend & Evening Telkom to Telkom Landline Calls
SIM 1 with 250MB Data Every Month
SIM 2 with 50min Talk Time Every Month
Free Wi-Fi at over 3000 Telkom Wi-Fi Hotspots
Free Data for Selected Education Websites
Free Data for Selected Social Media Websites
D-link ADSL Wi-Fi Router
Huawei E3531 3G Modem

It sounds like a great deal now, but am a bit skeptical about signing a 2 year contract. I understand most people advise not to sign a contract, given that prices are likely to come down in the near future, but if our requirements for speed and data (only really use it for surfing and emails), surely this is a good deal?

Am I overlooking something?
If we move, would we then pay for the ADSL re-installation?
I'm in Tzaneen, anyone have comment on service or line speed here? (still waiting on feedback from Telkom website)

Any advice would be much appreciated!

One thing good about Telekom is that they are constantly upping the cap at 0 extra cost. With in a year that 10GB will be 15GB.

Also don't forget early next year that 2 meg line will 4megs.
