That explains it... I have both Top TV and DStv (Select 1) at the moment. I watched the world cup on SABC 1 on both TopTV and DStv. To my suprise, the picture is crystal clear on DStv (just a standard decoder) compared to TopTV. Before I switched to DStv, I was wondering why the pitch was dull, only to find out that it's really superb when I viewed the same on DStv. The picture quality on the satellite link for DStv is better than the one used by TopTV. I wonder why they claim that they have superior picture quality.
TTV without a doubt have a superior quality picture, look at their own branded channels, like Top Junior, Top One, and TopMovies etc.. its like close to HD the beauty in the picture quality is amazing,

The Music Channel Picture Quality is the best, Just tune to Kerrang or Kiss, Magic, they are so sweet & the best comparing to Trace, MTV BAse and Channel O.
Channel like Discovery Science, and Natura, when you look at the picture quality, and the content shown, its so beautiful to the point that you dont want to change the channel, while they is so much more to entertain you, so I tend to agree with the article. Indeed Toptv Picture is amazing comparing to DStv SD Picture.
WRT: SABC & ETV TTV picture quality on these channel, is not the best, im not that has to do with the uplink to their satellite in Germany, but on this only i can agree with you, but as one of the forumites alluded, that for the 1month they have been in business, they have came out top, than the MC who has been on the show for the past 15 years, and only 3 (4) HD Channels, Please Dude, TTV Rocks... But Im loving more Discovery Science, does MC Have this channel again
