Smash and grab caught on camera

The other nice thing about smash and grab is that if it is tinted, it makes it more difficult to see if you have anything worth stealing. Not that you should have anything worth stealing in the cabin of your car, I am just saying that a skelm at a traffic light would have difficulty seeing whether it is even worth bothering breaking into your car.

Unfortunately they may be a little brighter than we give them credit. They probably identify cars. Most of us follow a routine in the traffic.

Yeah, see we dont realise but they are professionals, my wife got smash and grabbed at just before 8pm, the black nappy bag was on the floor, it blended in so well that not even I would be able to see it, plus the galaxy note was also black and it was in the console in the middle of the car, also near impossible to spot, but hey...... i guess if you do this every day you pick up on these things.

It's unlikely they'd drink anything not sealed. The ****ers who broke into my house only took the unopened bottle from the fridge leaving the opened ones alone - they apparently do fear being poisoned. If you can somehow poison and reseal it you may be able to get them.
 
The other thing is that they might end up giving the whiskey away to someone who is not guilty of theft. So you might end up killing an innocent person.

People have been charged before, so it could happen. What you want is for the perpetrator to not get arrested, otherwise it could lead to your arrest for stabbing them.

No - it is still a crime.

As to your second point - one would hope that there would be follow up. If you could remove the confusion that is brought about the whole arrest story, there are two separate crimes. Theft from motor vehicle and assault. One would hope that sanity would prevail and the assault charge not pursued. Unfortunately the plods are not know for their ability to think and it'll be thrown out in the courts.

I have this smash and crab film on my windows. I had my window hit my an object (didn't see what it was) at a traffic light in Pretoria, but my window didn't shatter (only 1 hit). I drove off over the pavement to get away and the only damage I had was a scratch on the window. Nothing else.
 
This is why I am so tired of beggars and vendors at traffic lights. They harass you and could very well be criminals scoping you out.
