agree agree and agree.... but we have no1 else to captain. Kallis is good and smart but he is old. Looking to the future there is no1 really except maybe ab... like his attitude, hes more humble and ten times more talented..

That was from stepping onto the field until out ...... PLUS .... there was at least a minute holdup for some sidescreen adjustments.....so make that 4 min

As much as I want Smith out of the team, I don't think that it would be very wise to mess with the structure this close to the world cup. We have to go with what we currently have. After the world cup however I think that this team needs a major revamp regarding administration, management, coaching and captaincy. Perhaps they should be using this series against India to try and find the right combinations before the world cup??
I remember smith complained when he took over captaincy that SA was a one man/Klusner show yet it seems we back to that in someways wrt batting. I think the current squad can do it.. just we need a rotation somehow to bring in other players when some are struggling. Right now it looks bad cause its not just 1 or 2 but 3 or 4 out of the top 5 batsman failing sometimes.. and their replacements are unexperienced since we have a tendancy to play players that are struggling. Thats where the aussies got it right. Its not a nice way to do it.. but it wins games. I mean we do it with bowlers, why not batsmen?[besides pollock and ntini who both seem to do it day after day with rare bad days. while the others are swopped as needed].

our top 5 batsmen havent been performing for a while now,can you guys remember when GIbbs and Smithy last scored consistent big ones??
there at least three spots in the top 5 batters that need to be replaced,and with the world cup comming up are we gonna leave it to the middle order AGAIN!!!??

i did say many times before that management needs to be replaced and I personally think that the top 4 batsman need to be replaced except kallis EVEN before the world cup this should be done,the current batsmen are not performing and do you really want guys that are not performing to go to a world cup and not perform there??IT needs to be changed now!!

my m8 even mentioned kemp,but all these people we looking at will need some serious management course/training !!!
They need training to rid themselves of Smith's influences ... wouldn't want a new guy to take over only to find he is a Smith-clone

I may be biased (I never liked Smith as captain), but is it his captain's badge that keeps him in the team, or politics? We certainly have opening batsmen that can take his place, don't we? For Pete's sake, we have an entire local league to pick from!
