Smoothwall Help Needed.

Hi,

My internet connection is working perfectly but when I try to use the proxyI get the following error in firefox.

The proxy server is refusing connections
Firefox is configured to use a proxy server that is refusing connections.

Check the proxy settings to make sure that they are correct.
Contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is
workin

Had a power faliure over the weekend and it's been this way since.

Occasionally it does allow you to surf for a few seconds then boes back to the above.

Any suggestions?

In About - Status check that the proxy service is running.

If not, go to Services - Web proxy, click on the "save and clear cache" button.

Check in About - Status for a running proxy service.

If it's still borked, then the cache might be corrupt.

Check the first two and report back.

Did the above (well similar anyway as I use advanced web proxy) and it worked for about 5 seconds, loaded half of the google search page, I managed to do a search, it half loaded one of the results then another click on a link and back to refusing connections.

I disabled logging and now it works?

Your log file might be the culprit...
