R1-00 a pop. Who gets the dough? Should be a FREE service if they where realy serious about routing out crime. Sounds like a money making scheme.

all the cell providers and gov't should get together and make it a free service. imagine if you have no airtime and you see a carjacking...eish!

32211...
I heard about them on 702 and all their posters.
Gonna start using it. It`s worth a shot.
Yesterday a guy tried jacking my goods in the car and i got a chance to speed away.
Today 1 actually robbed the guy 2 cars in front of me, when he struggled and 2nd one was there in a flash to assist. Happened so fast.

Ps. Between Walker and Church on Nelson Mandela drive,Pretoria there is a lot of pedestrians between 16h00-18h00
so they come to the window, threaten and grab before you know its done, then disappear in the crowd.

And who will then absorb the costs of running the system? Also Vodacom are the only network that allow reverse billed shortcodes (shortcodes where the consumer does not pay). The cheapest shortcode band is anyway in the region of R0.50-R0.80 (the amount depends on your network and your contract).

The only solution to make it "FREE" across networks is to advertise a normal cell number and I can only imagine the amount of "Please Call Me's" those guys will get. PCM does not work on shortcodes.

(BTW I work for a WASP)
