Jennifer, you’ve been here for a long time and no one has asked you for pics? Very odd.

I received mine beginning of December, had no idea additional games could be installed but man was I happy when I discovered this:)
And soon after it only got better discovering wireless controllers. I ordered a set of SF30 wireless controllers on amazon and received them within 5 days.
I already installed games I like as well as games on a few other platforms eg NES (which i had in my early teens) megadrive, neogeo and arcade.
I really enjoy the SNES Mini, it kept me occupied during the December holiday. Was a real great xmas gift from myself to myself :)

When you say install additional games, how did you go about doing that? Does it emulate other platforms?

I used Hakchi2 to install additional games, works well. Download ROM's to laptop, download Hakchi2, choose games in Hakchi2 to install, connect usb cable, turn on SNES Mini, install games on SNES Mini, after installation is complete, turn off SNES Mini, disconnect from laptop, connect to TV, turn on SNES Mini and enjoy your additional games :D
Hakchi2 will first download / dump your SNES Mini's original "kernel" to your laptop before allowing you to install games on the SNES Mini, this is just a safety precaution to preserve your original kernel so you may if you wish return your SNES Mini back to original.
Yes the SNES Mini can emulate other platforms if you install the emulators for the other platforms :)
Hakchi2 download:

To download the emulators, go here:
https://github.com/KMFDManic/NESC-SNESC-Modifications/releases/

Just do a Google on how to install the emulators

Can you load this Super Mario?

SO bought me one for Christmas and I didn't want it because it didn't have the original legendary Mario on it. Might need to order it again if it does.

You can load Super Mario All Stars which has this included along with SM 2 and 3.

Yes the controllers looks a bit weird becuse its thicker but still works well.
Its nice, it has a few improvements over the old one:
Wireless controllers, HDMI, USB power input, 16:9 and 4:3 selectable aspect ratio.
I also wish i didnt get rid of mine :(
I ordered some games, hope Ill be able to get them out of JIMC :|

Upgraded my television over the weekend, got a really big 50" UHD 4K unit from HiSense.
The detail is really good, I can now actually make out the pictures in the main menu of the SNES Mini.
Playing games on such a big screen is great!
Previously I had a 5 year old 32" HiSense.
Only problem the new television does not have RCA out connectors to connect to my mini hi-fi, so cant listen to SNES Mini audio on the hi-fi.
The television do have optical audio out, but my hi-fi does not have optical audio in.
So I did a Google and found a optical audio to analog audio converter - it has the optical audio in and rca audio out.
I ordered one, hopefully it will work, holding thumbs . . .
Not going to buy another hi-fi

Yeah, this is always a schlep/problematic when you have multiple systems and never enough inputs/outputs available :/

Invest in a wireless controller option for the NES/SNES mini. Makes the whole experience even better.

Nice.

And do you know that can also use your old/original SNES controllers and arcade sticks in a wireless fashion with that receiver.

You'd need an SNES to NES/SNES Classic controller adapter,

With that adapter (tethered to a Wiimote) your original controllers would work via the Wiimote syncing to that 8bitdo wireless receiver in your SNES mini.

No did not know about all this, this is awesome! The possibilities just keep expanding:D
Thank you for the information :)
Great news:
My Hi-Fi can broadcast audio from the TV again:D
The digital to analog convertor works, what a relief - phew!

I wonder if it is cheaper to buy a raspberry pi and emulate these games....
Getting wireless controllers might be the tricky part
