You guys must be grinning ear to ear.

Then again, you are probably too busy with new signups to stop and grin... :D

(I am referring to how badly people are reacting to webafrica's price announcement)

Gain, any comments?

haha... Afrihost's decision to spend their advertising budget on bandwidth was brilliant. Cos now they are getting more advertising than they could ever have dreamed of! :D

And yes... I put them on my Facebook! :D

well, as much as people are dissapointed with WA because of their pricing, i don't think yelling/screaming/swearing @ WA works.... we must just all learn to yell/scream/swear with our wallets..... let your money do the talking....

WA new pricing is so dissapointing... not sire why went through all the hassles...

I believe that is just an temporary price adjustment to keep vaguely in the market until they have properly TESTED (A word DigiUseless and Screamingly-incompetant Telecoms would know nothing about) and signed off their own network.

Keep in mind "ensure that they provide their subscribers with excellent quality of service".

I'll pay tripple what what anyone asks to have the ease of use and billing of WebAfrica's customer portal.

The quality of support from Webafrica has been dropping for a while now. There is no way I am paying double for essentially the same service, so as soon as I have my line installed in my new place I am signing up with Afrihost.

i think someone got a 30gig account from WA hey cda? :p

I was hesitant at first to make the switch, but am very irritated with myself now that i didnt go over to afrihost sooner tbh

I wish I could use WA... but Telkom refuses to upgrade ADSL infrastructure in Sandton. Apparently investing in Soweto and Hillbrow is the better business sense for them.

Afrihost is just a cheap-ass Internet Solutions account. It's the same account anywhere just a different brand and face on it. I've never been impressed with IS for capped ADSL, the SAIX network is a heck of alot more stable.

It's been far more stable for me than SAIX ever was... both at home with OpenWeb and at work with Afrihost. I'd take the IS connection over SAIX any day of the week.

It's a SAT-3 fibre account, meaning that your bandwidth is sourced from the same cable that Telkom/SAIX sources theirs.

Rofl. Then WTF was the trial for?

I don't understand that comment, why can you not use WA but you can use telkom? Also i use IS all day and it is just as good as saix.

1+ If you still think I.S. is crap then you haven't used them in a long time.
