Wish I were in your position :p :D

My take on the Mito - fugly little car.

EDIT: Well when actually looking at this pic of it

The coupe on the left looks rather nice.

Don't know anything about the cars in general, but never liked the looks of Alfa's in general...
The cute little coupe on the left is actually a 8C, a different beast altogether.....

its such a crock that people assume 'who buys cars cash these days' ... They quickly assume fraud ... Lol. Then i need to basically strip naked to prove everything is legitimate. Always go through this :(

We paid cash for the AMG package for my moms car, the guy didnt want to do the deal for us.... Why finance an extra 20k...?

I missed a 2007 3.2 V6 Brera for R289K :(

maybe it was a good thing...

I'm waiting a little longer. I want to pay R250k. ;)

I also buy for cash. Just go through a private seller and do an EFT? Even if you actually want to pay in cold hard cash (for any number of mostly dodgy reasons, most of which I know and understand very well ;)), I don't see why a private seller would say no.

Alfaholic, how old are you? Your ranting and raving doesn't help the cause much.

I'm not defending the MiTo, I'm personally no a hatchback kinda guy, I will always defend the Alfa Romeo brand though. I love the cars to bits.

Fadza, Alfasud? You gotta be kidding me. Drive a post 2000 Alfa and report back. Reliability is on par with the Germans, while they still maintain the driving and 'passion' aspect of the original Alfa Romeo's. Brilliant.

i dont pay for stuff in hard cash, like to keep a paper trail ... so bank cheques and EFT's, but it seems you a criminal if you buy things cash these days. Remember a few years back in 2002 when i bought a E46 M3 from a 60 year old British guy, he paid cash for the car and the bank who was financing me was Standard Bank refused to do the deal because they said it looked to them like money laundering ... LOL.... went to Wesbank and all got sorted out in 5 min :)

ok re-drove the Mito, and really drove it :) ... also drove the Fiat 500 ... and my choice is the 500 .... i love it, such a cute little car, 1.4 is nippy ... just negotiating price ... esp considering the high depreciation ...

All this Alfa VW banter confused me, I really thought the Mito is a decent car...

drove the Mito again, and yeah it was actually quite fun ... :) ... just the electric steering, i need to feel more of the road ... :) ... the suspension does make sense at speed, and yes the fun is in really driving the car ... the last time i drove it, it was a very easy drive, this time around i pushed it through it paces ...

but still the Fiat 500 is just too cute :) ... think ill take it in that off white colour with the beige steering wheel and vintage leather interior ... the lounge model is what im after ... that is the one with the panoramic roof

Forgot that I said that after everyone started getting so worked up about Polo's et al!!

Put it down to old age....:p:eek:

:D haha, also forget a lot these days. I tend to attribute it more to booze than old age though... :p

what would be the right price to pay for a FIAT 500 ... saw one at R150k for a 2009 model with 40km on the clock! its brand new ... my first prize is a funk white one with vintage leather so with extras full retail is R221k, but with a discount its coming out to R206k which is still way off from the one for R150k! ... Alfa and Fiat boys your input here please ...
