So how old are you then?

Nothing wrong with him playing 1 hour a day IMO. Much better than TV :p:D

But make sure he plays outside aswell.

Oh he plays outside a lot...he really loves his trampoline :D

On the other hand he also plays a lot of playstation, but he really want to play games with his dad ;)

Only thing that makes me wonder is the fact that most people treat kids different when they find out they are that young. As we all know, kids don't really take being dissed that well.

The game has many complexities, which is maybe why blizz indicates the age as 12+?

Well then make sure he only plays when you are on.

We have a mom and son team in our guild and the kid is 11 but the mom handles some situations like other players dissing her kid very well and thus shows the kid how to handel it and not just start swearing :)

I think that will be cool, an hour or two gaming with dad will be great!

My son so badly wants to play, but I have not let him yet as he is only 9. Am I wrong then? He did finish Shadow of the Colossus on his own :o

I don't think you are wrong. I remember playing TM Nations a while back and one of the people was not racing, just chatting with everyone asking ages where they were from, etc. One of the people answered that they were 14 (think it was a girl) and this person started chatting quite a bit with them. I asked what his/her story was and why they were more interested in talking instead of racing to which the person promptly left.

You can't be too careful. It would probably be alright if you played with him. If I were you, I would rather download a EMU and set it up for him to play on his own.

When I am asked that question in a group I usually say, well my son is the lock and my wife is the Healer thats generally enough to change the subject.

That's pretty funny, imagine seeing this on the fridge in the kitchen:

6pm - supper time
7pm - raiding time

This is happening in BF2 as well.

ALOT of young kids are playing it online now :)

Yeah but most of those have been around for a bit. I remeber the one guy who always used to get off at around 8pm cos his mom was telling him its bed time :D

Hmmm

Age dont really matter, met many players more mature than the older bunch of guys.

I am 28, g/f on her lock is 25. And yeah, when there is a raid it is 7de Laan, News, Supper, Raid, Sleep.

Most of my SA mates are aged 23-27.

Ran a guild called Premonition. Had a few guild members under 18 due to the fact they showed levels of maturity beyond their age.

Whenever we had new recruits, they were always measured up against our under 18.

Also had a 55 year old veteran. He had a bike accident and recently went under a knife and could walk for first time in 20 years. The forums were very supportive and messages from all over the world.

I dont think this game is about age, it is more along the lines (like in real life), "do i want to hang out with this person or not".

I felt pretty old the other day. One of the guild officers asks how old everyone is, I tell 'em my age thinking, can't be that bad, these guys must be around early to mid twenties at least. Turns out the officer who asked is 15.

Maybe I should just take up playing chess at the park instead.

lol when i started WoW i thought i was the oldest in there (I was 17 then). I then started doing instances with people and asked them what they're ages where it ranged from 13-15.

I then joined a guild and played with the guild, in my old guild we had a lady of 50+ (she never said exactly how old), I was amazed lol. She and her husband plays regularly.

Most of the peeps i play with now are over 20 :D I know a guy who plays with his dad also, dunno how old he is though. There's a family guild on my realm aswell. lol

I didn't know there was such an intrest in online games with the older people.

i'll definatly be plauying then way after retirement :P

I be 24 since 2 weeks ago :p

Most people in my guild are older than 20 as well :)

When the level cap goes to 350 in the 30th expansion do you think they will give a pensioner discount

I'm only 25, but our whole guild is for mature ppl with jobs and families/girlfriends/boyfriends, so everybody is 22+. While playing on the US server our guild leader, his wife and his 2 sons played, in that same guild we had a retired couple of +-50something playing.
