I decided to get a scooter to get to work and back, and to run around this area of town in. I filled up my petrol tank. It set me back R30. :D
 
But do you pick up any girls with it? :p
I really wouldn't mind a small bike, but with the current weather...I'd rather have my fingers, is all I'm saying. ^_^

I dont have a problem with transport, just saving money on petrol by getting this... and its already had a female friend on the back of it. Its actually loads of fun to play with:>

Its also so much fun driving past all the traffic conjestion :D wow, do the people in the cars give you dirty looks as you just mozy on past them :D
 
I also got myself one like a year ago

i still have my car, but use the bike a lot for city driving. although it can only do 50km/h its way faster from point a to b in traffic, not to mention the fuel saving
 
I bought a brand new Honda 125cc for like only 10K and doing my learners on the 9th and then bye bye traffic and high petrol costs as well :D
 
wow...10k for a Honda isn't bad. I know you can get some relatively unknown brands for R7k or so but I'd much rather have the certainty of having spares available if/when I need them, for the R3k more. I'd actually like a 250cc bike of some sort though.
 
I had a look at the 250cc and the performance wasn't much better than the 125cc for double the price - just pop into Honda you will be surprised at how big this bike is - I had to double check like 6 times because I dodn't believe a Honda was so cheap - I had a look at Jonway also - didn't like their scooters or attitude.
 
Well, the more important thing about the 250cc, to me at least, is that you can use it to get a license which you can ride any bike with. I'd like to get myself something along the lines of the Triumph Street Triple in the next couple of years, and they're 675cc.
 
The performance of the 250cc is at least twice that of the 125cc. Twice the power, two and a half times the torque. If you can afford the 250cc, then that is the one to get.
 
What is the cc limit where a motorcycle license becomes a requirement?
