Not sure I follow. You still access is via Capitec app. Purchased some EFT’s and got my 20% brokerage discount. I’ll continue to access EE via Capitec.

Can you do that on your version of the Capitec app? Since yesterday, when I try to access EasyEquities from my Capitec app, I get redirected to a Web browser window.
 
Nice you can finally create virtual credit cards. Just can’t add it to Apple Pay yet. Lol always an issue.

Oh I see. But you need a CC and have to buy into their system as your primary number. So not really free.
 
I see the swine at Capitec have changed the cut-off for an eft to another bank to reflect the next business day to 2pm Mon-Fri, WTF!!
Most banks its 5pm and if recall correctly Capitec used to have the latest cut-off, around 6pm at one stage.

It is ironic. Capitec would even show up the earliest, around 6-8PM on the same day if you made the cut-off from another bank.

This card doesn't work reliably online yet. Struggled for half an hour to pay a municipal bill.

My salary still shows up 6pm same day. Others on FNB only get it 12pm at midnight.

how do you confirm you got the 20% discount?

I just did exactly this and don't see any indication of a discount, aside from trying the same transaction via the web completely separate from the capitec app to check the fees I have no way of knowing if there even is such a discount in play

EE sends you a confirmation email.

Instead of 0.25% brokerage I paid 0.20%.
