Fair enough, if you are a functional retard and need a nanny minding you at all times it’s a great move.
I can live with Capitec making me take selfies and have me scan QR codes but making me wait 24hrs to use online banking is taking it too far. Maybe it’s because I haven't used Online banking for many months but I haven't experienced this in the past so it was totally unexpected.

Just asking for a friend, but what is it you want to do on online banking that is not available via the app?

And what’s the problem? It’s infinitely more secure and covers both them and their customers all in house with no third party holes in the process.

Most banks reached that point years ago, I don't think there's anyway around it because with all banks not already there it’s a case when not if it’s coming.

So now we loose out dingle effectively since you can't have both at the aame time.

The dingle was useful to share with the SO so she could use my account or me hers, when either is not around etc

I must admit im disappointed I can’t just install the app on two phones. Not great for travel.

Yeah that means I have to make my wife’s phone the primary which suits me fine but it’s risky and means you have real issues if your phone goes missing or breaks.

I enabled internet banking but not convinced it can be used without the phone for auth. I’ll confirm in the morning.

What I meant is can't you have the Capitec app loaded on 2 different phones/tablets and with the same account logged into each?
The FNB app allows that.

That’s what I meant, no you I can’t. It logs your other device out and you have to re-register it.

That's lame, many people use a phone and tablet and it’s nice having my Banking app on both

Most other banks just have the glorified phone app you can install on tablets which is subpar. FNB does have a tablet app but the whole app is mostly broken with 50% of features not working anyway.
