So I'm doing it...

You'll be back :p

Nea, was busy doing studies. I'm prep'd now just waiting for my exam dates then I'll study again for a week or so prior.
I've been on and off of wow for about a year. Not as hardcore as before, but still enjoy doing nothing in WoW :D

Nah lol i wont be back; because sky diving is taking up all my time and money:P

2 things I will never do in my life:

1. Have sex with a mentally handicapped person
2. Jump out of a flying aeroplane

Haha, its awesome:P especially since you cant see the ground and you start free falling and reach speeds of 200KM+:P

I can do more than terminal velocity on my bike :o But seriously, me, jump, out of an aeroplane.....NEVER.

My wife used to do it thought before I met her and she loves it. I would pay to watch her jump, but there is no way in hell I'll ever do it willingly :D

Yeah, look, couple things

(1)A little bit of homework would have saved you a lot of time. Game doesnt need to be installed, you can just copy the entire folder from a buddy who plays wow( and lets be real, we ALL know somebody who plays wow) and off you go
(2)Once you do DL and patch it all, it's not something that ou have to do often. Major WoW patches happen maybe once every 2 or 3 months, and the smaller ones can be patched up and running in minutes, the p2p system WoW uses is very fast and reliable
(3)If you do DL and patch the client, theres no sense in buying the battlechest other than for activation keys, you can upgrade your trial account to a full account online and upgrade from vanilla to expansions straight from the battlenet site.

Writing the game off because patching it's a hassle is kinda redundant. Any MMORPG, regardless, you're going to have the same hassles. It's one of those things that plagues the entire genre. Go try AoC or WAR or ChO or STO or LOTRO or wahtever and you're going to have to jump through the same hoops, in some cases even worse.

not even a welcome back, you wow guys have no manners

Haha, only 465, thats nothing

That Huntart called porn, does he still frequent this site?

/wave ... Yarrrrrr he still be lurking here... Raiding with a South African guild now for the first time after playing with progression EU guilds for years is a nice refreshing change :)
Welcome back... now get that hunter back into shape and start catching up with all the hunter dps mechanics that changed since you left !

Nah, I'm over this game, uninstalled it... I played for a few hours, everytime I lost interest/got bored within a few minutes and I forced myself to play on.

I'm glad I at least gave it a try, I normally ripped you guys off, but I never really had reason to do that - till now... I finally gave it a shot and yeah - I have no interest in it.

you do know the real game only starts at max level, dont you ?

Perhaps you should have tried playing on an instant level 80 server before you tried the game. Raiding and pvp, the core part of the game, only start then.

pfft lol...and you think we care why?

official doesn't have instant 80 servers...

Ok perhaps I was not clear enough. Perhaps he should have tried a PRIVATE instant 80 server before he tried to game on OFFICIAL. I actually thought that would have gone without saying, guess I was wrong.

I was like that the first week, but the guild i joined made things interesting, once you get mates and help each other out you get sucked in.

Aint nothin wrong with trying it and not liking it. I hate CoD for example, and basically any/all similiar 'realism'/WW2 shooters, like Medal of Honour, Battlefield Bad Company 2, etc etc. People look at me funny when I say that but hey. A lot of people like sports games like Madden or EA Fifa'10 or whatever, I don't. Same with racing games. But I like RPG's, which a lot of them don't.
Different strokes for different folks. If someone doesn't like WoW, who cares. It's not an insult on you. Their tastes simply differ.

As much as guilds and endgame and all that's important, if you don't like levelling and quest grinding and character-building and gearing and all that, you aren't going to like WoW, no matter how hard you try to. A lot of time spent in this game is done solo, and if you hate that, it's going to be hard to get past it.

That said, you should at least try and get to level 10 and run an instance, because if you haven't experienced a run through Deadmines before quitting, or at leasr tunning a few Warsong Gulch battlegrounds, I must admit, you ARE missing out on some of the best gameplay WoW has to offer. A lot of this game IS based around group content, and while soloing may count for 50%, missing out on the other 50% means you've only really seen less than half of what the games about. You don't have to grind to 80 to experience that, though. It's just that the instances and battlegrounds only open up in the 10-20+ range.

I'm currently in the process of downloading the full client at home.

1 of the main reasons I avoided this game (note how I say "1" of the reasons) was the massive updates and hog of BW it is - but since I'm on uncapped... hey, why the hell not!

So, I've activated my trial version, am downloading and hopefully tonight will give this game a shot.
Hopefully it'll grab me and I'll go out and buy the World of Warcraft: Battlechest (I've actually had it before, I had 2 copies, but I sold them)

After all the k a k you have given us in the past :)
