So I'm over MWEB's throttling, recommendations?

Title says it, mweb throttle's my 2mbs line at a lower threshold than my friends 1mbs line (80gb vs 100gb+) so I'm looking for a new ISP.

Any recommendations especially looking for a provider that's more lenient with throttling in general.
 
Or Telkom... But be aware, you won't be able to do torrents during the day, only late at night.

Late as in after 8pm, or after 12?
 
ISP recommendation

Hey there buddy here are the ISP you should stay away from OpenWeb / Afrihost / Mweb / these are the 3 ISP providers I have tried and can honestly say don't live up to what they advertise ... My downloads were from a straight http site but throttling was really bad a friend of mine who is with Helkom says he has only experienced good service from them ..... have they changed there ways ? Only time will tell.
 
+1 for Helkom.

Downloads normally runs from 10-ish in the evenings. But lately I have had no issues during the day. Guess most are on holiday.
 
Have had nothing but excellent service from Afrihost there is no reason to not be with them,

the mobile data combined with great prices and good customer care is where you want to be.

No man don't tell everyone to go to Afrihost. Things are so great at the moment I don't want everyone to go there and then things slow down.

Nonsense, AH is freaking amazing, full speed all day and night with Business account, also Hellkom isnt a ISP, its just a website that compares all ISP's.
 
Ok so most of you seem to like afrihost, how's their throttling and shaping (specifically considering their 2mbps uncapped @ R297)

Considering that all ISPs tend to apply some form of throttling or time/speed restrictions.
I'm on Mwebs 2meg uncapped premium.
Never been thottled but, having said that, I've never gone over 200 gig in a (rolling) month.
 
Cmon guys we all know 200gigs a month is plenty? Why are you forcing the issue like this? They do not want the few mega-users sodomizing there lines something which is not unreasonable. Lets just keep being reasonable.

Its the same story with afrihost. have been shapped to Shaping Policy: 18.8% Download/ 6.25% P2P. Roughly below 50% the whole weekend. Am looking for a business uncapped at the moment.
