Got some news......
Got some news......
I’ve been subscribed to Nova Launcher Beta program for many years ,In fact still am .
Just got an update for Nova Launcher, see screenshot for update particulars
So seems like Nova launcher is still "alive and kicking "
Look at my screenshots, it is not an old update ,Dated 27 October 2025 .That is this Monday past ,Also Reddit Nova Forum , confirmedThis is an odd one. On one side those who use and or purchased Nova should be happy. However, this update wasn't pushed by the developer who was on the Nova team, and the update is said to be more than a year old. Either Branch did a merge, or they are pushing old updates to call it quits.
There does seem to be additional updates, so perhaps, a new team is working on Nova. It is possible that the old dev team is bitter, but who knows?

Nova Launcher users spotted an unexpected version 8.1.3 update roll out on the Google Play Store beta channel, according to a post on Reddit’s Nova Launcher sub from user colinaspinall. As of now, the latest update hasn’t appeared through the stable release channel, or Nova Launcher’s official beta website. While the update is a sign someone at Branch is paying attention to Nova, former developer Rob Wainwright took to Discord to provide additional context.

This isn't a surprise when you remember that the date where apps targeting Android 13 or below stop appearing on the Play Store for devices running 14 or above tomorrow (UTC) [see this support page]. Nova's last update targeted 13.
Branch have realised that their source of data from new installs would dry up if they didn't act, so they've pushed this update. Very last minute.
The best for me is the weather widgets now live update (Oppo ColorOS). It was a manual process with Nova Launcher.Strange. Fortunately I got used to the Xiaomi UI (HyperOS 2.0) and its shortcomings, so don't feel like switching anymore. It does what it needs to do. Maybe getting too old to still fiddle with something that I finally got working for me. Bonus that I have working gestures and don't need the navigation buttons.
