and now i need a new pair.
anyone have any recommendions on speakers below R800 and at least 40W RMS?
preferably a 2.1 system because i dont have a wall behind for a 5.1.

and has anyone heard a pair of Divoom speakers? they're pretty cheap and popping up in every comp shop so im wondering what they sound like.

thanks

They sound like crap. Get a Logitech X210 (2.1). We sell for R349.
Or go Creative

thanks... forgot about that search function XD
that thread keeps on mentioning esquire... but it seems like you have to be a reseller in order to buy from them. bummer though. i want altec lansings!

ok, so divoom is out the window.
i had the X230's... they were ok, not brilliant, the sub wasnt doing it for me, but good for what i paid (R400ish)

Yep you need to be a reseller.

I think Incredible Corruption has the Logitech Z4s for around R800... Might want to check them out.

I have the Creative I-Trigue 2.1 3600 speaker set. They're pretty good and there isn't much to complain about. If you look at reviews on the net the biggest issue was it's big price tag (>$200).But for some reason it sells for cheap in SA. So for R700 they're pretty much a steal.

Personally if you can afford R 700, then you can get a decent pair of Logitech 5.1 Surround sound (yeah I know you want 2.1)

Otherwise there are some very decent 2.1 Creative speakers around

Or some decent Logitech 2.1 speakers? Z4s seem to be good.

Well I suppose you could always get a remote that works on the same RF:p
