Most medical aid schemes do not cover doctors visits.

Now please NOTE. YOU may charge it to your medical aid and think that you are not paying for it, but that only happens if you have a medical savings attached to the medical aid. The medical savings is in essence, your money, held in a savings account that is not in your name. So when going to the doctor on medical aid, you are still the one paying.

nah, no medical savings, there is an annual limit for drs, medicine etc blah blah. Anyhow for **** like a letter i go to my gp and say give me a damn letter and dont dare charge and depending on his mood he says yeh cool or gives me the letter but tells me to **** off
 
Remember to ask for a raise while you at it, I mean as long as you're improving their BEE scorecard let it not be for mahala.
 
Phoning your specialist or doctors offices or sending an e-mail would be the easiest way to get the necessary documentation without having pay for a consultation.
 
Mmm ... considering my sisters ex husband was supposedly half blind (and even went to the blind school in Worcester) but have miraculously recovered and can now drive (which he couldn't during their marriage) and has a job at a municipality answering the switchboard and is considered disabled ...

Verification every decade or so is probably in order.
 
Verify all they want but they have to pony up for the test. It's same as when you do a pre-employment or yearly medical surveillance when you work in an environment that can affect your health/ability. Company pays.
