...announce their long awaited new product details? Amongst all these other ISPs' new product offerings I'm sure many forumites are eagerly awaiting WA's product announcements before making some decisions :D

I think they said between December and early January, picked that up on the WA forums somewhere.

Afrihost, Digichilli, Screamer etc might persuade them (WA) to act sooner

I stopped awaiting WA's product offerings awhile ago tbh...

They haven't set the market alight for along time.. they're no longer the cheapest or the best.... so yeah.

Agreed. They did create a lekker hype with their network trial and all - so people sort of expect good things to come. Let's hope they don't disappoint

Who is WebAfrica?

My mind is filled with names like Afrihost, Nexus, DigiChilli and Screamer. It is kinda hard to remember the "old names" :D

Well with what Webafrica are doing for the gaming community, i commend them. Free b/w on WAGE servers... better than any other ISP in this country has offered before. Their pricing will be competitive im sure. Trial is almost over so not long to go.

Hi all,

As some of you mentioned, the trial is almost over, once this is done we will be able to put together an announce date for new products, pricing and packages.

We are pushing as hard as we can to ensure our network is stable and meets quality standards of our users before migrating them over, and creating new packages.

On a positive note, we will be announcing price changes on our hosting packages early next week. I am not able to say anymore than this at the moment but Mybb will be informed along with our customers of the upcoming improvements.

Thanks Kyron. I guess it's not that easy to put together and price your products 100% accurately although I do hope that the announcement is made before 2010

WebAfrica will need to act soon if they want to keep their customer base.

Either adjusting products on their reseller options (IS/SAIX) or providing their own network products.

We shall see :) Exciting times ahead.

Good thinking. Prices to "scream" about (har) are one thing, maintaining the service is another.

Will you be announcing new products or announcing a date when you will announce the announcement about the announcement of your announcements? Just wondering... time is ticking by.

They did mention on their own forum that they want to run live on the new network for a month before they will start with new packages, so I doubt if we will see anything from them before Jan 2010. That being said, their network will be ready, unlike some other ISP's. In the mean time I'm still enjoying my free local account from them.
