So WebAfrica is allowed to change their terms and conditions whenever they feel fit without informing their clients. Then I was told "the terms and conditions" are on the website. Do they expect me to check this on a daily basis to see if anything has changed?
When I signed up many years ago, they told me that there will be no termination/cancellation fees. All that is required is a calendar months notice and if you received a free router and cancelled in less than 12 months, then you have to return or pay the balance for the router. This is understandable.

I had wifi with them for a couple of years and then switched to fibre in 2023. So I've been a customer for many years.

Now that I want to cancel, they all of a sudden have a R1000 termination fee, which they never had before and never pointed out when I upgraded to fibre. To me, this is being dishonest. They actually told me that nothing would change when I switched/upgraded to fibre. So this was a blatant lie of course.

How was the new termination fee not pointed out to me when they very eagerly upgraded my package from wifi to fibre.

This is being deceitful and apparently there are many other clients whom have been cheated like this.

They have no consideration for clients who have been loyal for many years, instead, they now "punish" you for cancelling and just refer you to the updated terms and conditions on the website.

I will never refer them to friends, family and clients again ( and I use to do this often).

I guess they try and squeeze out as much as they can (financially) from you before you leave them

The cancellation fee unfortunately has been there for quite a while with WebAfrica
I would never recommend anybody to be with Web Africa, rather go with a ISP that has a presence on the forums, they can assist youy if u have any issues at least

Towards the end I thoroughly hated Webafrica! THey tried to get me with that cancellation fees too. Fortunately I managed to convince the new owners of the place to take over the line. Lol meaning no cancellation fees for me.
