Solar panel theft surges

With solar panel theft on the rise, South African residents with solar power systems must insure and protect their equipment.

King Price Insurance's client experience partner Wynand van Vuuren says solar panel theft is a growing trend, and he only expects it to escalate as more South Africans push to improve their energy security.

No idea, I rely on my ancestors and some strong muthi to protect my home, I don't have anything to suggest for white people, unless you are the few who believe in our African beliefs, then I can suggest my guy to give your home a good once over.

One nearby single story business building covered their whole roof in solar panels. It's next to the road and the building has no fencing around it. I wonder how long before it will all be stolen. There is a single camera for what it is worth.
