SolarAssistant - Anyone using it?

Yep, straight from there. still connected like that but I took the Pi out the inverter and its now underneath.

Thanks. Will see when mine arrives exactly where I will be installing it. Only so many spots to access the battery connections. Should mayne have ordered the normal plug but I don’t have a wall plug anywhere close by.

I also connected mine onto the inverter then passed the cables through those waterproof grommets. Pi is sitting ontop of the battery .

Is there a demo account or would anyone be willing to let me snoop around their account?
Would like to see the available reporting and exports etc.

Ok so my install is pretty tight and I'll see how I integrate in the long run.

Is it ok to install it inside the inverter?

It SHOULD be ok... not sure about the heat etc...

Inside for now. Cant work out an optimal cable routing to the battery if it sits outside.

Will monitor the heat.

The SoC (System on Chip – the integrated circuit that does the Pi's processing, a Broadcom BCM2837B0) is qualified from -40°C to 85°C. This effectively means that the maximum operating temperature of Raspberry Pi's key components is 70oC and 85oC

Anyone experiencing slow loading when switching between tabs? Connected locally to it.

No issues my side. Mine is connected via wifi. Both local and *.za.solar-assistant.co.za are speedy.

Seems like it was my wifi connection when the Pi was installed inside the inverter. No problems since.

Sorry to resurrect this thread guys...
I just ordered my Solar Assistant kit.

Any idea how long these dudes take to deliver? Their communication (or lack thereof) is horrible.

I'm hoping I don't have to contact them for issues I might have.

2 days should be enough for JHB delivery. They are based here in PTA East

Awesome, thanks bud.
Lol I know they're in PTA, but no idea where. There's no address on their website.

I'm so gatvol of this Solarman app, so I can't wait for my kit to be delivered.
