Solomon takkies :o

Exactly, I dare you to use them on a concrete/rough surface, they wont last a year.

In terms of an image shoe, not too sure about that, looks a bit corny, especially for a person who doesn't look like they excercise

You think I'm fat?

I do look sport fit, I might not be no more though :o

That's your opinion, I don't disagree.
That doesn't however mean people aren't using them as an image purchase.
Pitbull is considering doing it himself.
Take a walk down the street and tell me how many people wearing Salamon looks like a trail runner.

Do yourself a favor and go to a place that has a good range of Kanadias, you'll find some great colors.
They're really a good choice if you're interested in Salamon.

Edgars still stock Adidas?

Or which stores should I look at? Total Sports?

Do you have a tekkietown or Total Sports or Edgars, Bad Boyz?

All but Bad Boyz.

I never like tekkietown though. They seem like a cheap store tbh. But I'll go have a look, never really been in one. From outside it just looks so... bland.

They stock more tekkies than you'll get at Edgars.
Better by a long way.
And they have a much bigger variety.
They stock everything from Vans to Airwalk to Nike to Merrel.

In fact, the last time I went to Edgars they had 4 of the same Addidas on show for about R300 more than Tekkie Town.
Tekkie town had 9 different Kanadia colors compared to the 1 from Edgars.

They even sell vellies and crocs..

Eish, I feel so stupid now.

I'll surely go give them a shot and see what I can get there.

As a trail runner I can confirm that the Salomon speed cross shoe wears very fast. But it does have a few perks:

1) Had mine for 2 years and they are totally worn out and not suitable for trail running anymore.
2) Migrated to the addidas mentioned ( have not worn them yet )
3) Salomon was great for hockey however i never got a direct hit to the shoe and think it may hurt...
4) They are amazing for very cold climates as was in NYC in feb at -5 and i only used normal socks with the shoe not getting that wet even after walking through snow.

For use indoors they will not last long, however if you dont need the grip I am sure the wear slows down dramatically once the knobbly bits are worn down.

Dr Who, you'll be pleasantly surprised by those Addidas.
After trying Merrel and having 2 pairs develop a click in the heel, Salamon that wore through fast, the Addidas have gone through 2 seasons of hockey and general wear but still have good grip and look almost new.

The same applies for my son's pair of Addidas.
He wore them for 2 seasons and I'll add we play club as well so for him it was almost 4 season if you consider it and he eventually gave them to a teammate who needed an upgrade.
