They are worth the price.
Comfortable, hard wearing, etc.

Better than Merrel, that's for sure.

They are pretty damn good I think. Should last quite a while.

Please don't buy them unless you are planning to do trail-running, that's what they are for. They wear very quickly on tar and paving etc.

I have a friend who owns an outdoor shop, and keeps getting customers coming back complaining that the sole wears out quickly. The sole is quite a softish compound designed for running on rocks and other rough terrain, not for looking cool.

I bought a plain black pair in about 2009, i still wear them every weekend.

So comfortable, watch the water proof ones they can get a bit hot on the ol toes in Summer though.

Not all of them are trail running shoes, the 1 pair i have aren't in anyway running shoes where as the other pair is.

I mostly wear leather shoes. I have lots of takkies laying around the bottom of the cupboard. I just need them for the odd Friday at work as my Bike shoes get very hot and they not that good for wearing in the office the whole day. My other Takkies are just ugly and old. I think I need to throw a few pairs out and give them to the gardener.

Cool, will stay away from the water proof ones. Damn it, I hope those green ones aren't water proof :o I really like them.

edit: Eish they are water resistant :D

You do come across as a person who would wear Bright Green tekkies :D, I got one black pair and one grey, see boring. The kids tried to get me to buy the red ones I nearly had a heart attack just trying them on.

Sure, but I think the ones in the link are for trail running. You do get a road running version, but they don't look as cool (not sure if bright neon trail running shoe with a jean pant look anything near cool)

They are used for hockey now as well.
People use them for everything not just trail running.

Hockey on what surface?

Its quite a bit of money to spend to walk around the shopping centre looking all active, only to have them lose their tread within a year.

The guys here at work all wear these bright coloured TEKKIES with their jeans. I think it looks cool. Very trendy :o

Astroturf.

Exactly, I dare you to use them on a concrete/rough surface, they wont last a year.

In terms of an image shoe, not too sure about that, looks a bit corny, especially for a person who doesn't look like they excercise

IMO these are just FUGLY..... I wouldn't let my SO wear these to look trendy.
