So I dug up the cable on the street. My shovel might have cut a few of them, but mine wasn't working so no harm really. I just used sticky tape to sort that out.

A few metres from there, I found this

The numbers are faded. So how do in know which one is mine?

Hello Telkom

My line had a crackle on it, no, not the one of the Rice Krispies okes!! So I found this box up the road and opened the doors. Very neat but I struggled to find my line.

So I scratched around a bit.

Still could not find my line but I did notice that all my neighbours started shouting and swearing as well.

I dunno, surely it cannot be due to this???

Now you can send a whole team to come and sort out our services!!

A good self service and troubleshooting capability that properly enables/empowers an end user would be welcomed as apposed to holding on the line for 45 minutes to speak to a support consultant that ends up sorting your problem out in less than a minute.

We NEED NAKED/FREE ADSL connection NOW !!!

We NEED coverage NOW !!!

~200m to the west of my property, fibre coverage stops
~200m to the east of my property, VDSL coverage stops

In the middle of these two, a corridor that only has access to ADSL. I'm stuck on 4MBps.

They (I don't know who the provider is, quite honestly), has laid fibre in an estate 300m from me, where they are still building houses. No one, I repeat, no one, lives in the estate yet, yet the area has fibre coverage.

Port St Johns
Port Edward
Port Shepstone
Port Nolloth

:p

Nolloth WTF is that ?

OK googled it ...

Port Nolloth is a town and small domestic seaport in the Namaqualand region on the northwestern coast of South Africa, 144 kilometres northwest of Springbok.

So like what Dstv had for years now?
