On Monday, the European Union launched a security operation off the coast of Somalia - its first-ever naval mission - to combat growing acts of piracy and protect ships carrying aid agency deliveries.
Problem with these pirates are that if they get caught, the weapons get taken and they have to release them because nobody is willing to take them into custody. They have no fear because they know they are basically untouchable.
Pretty simple patrol the water and kill the bastids, a few hundred dead pirates might put some fear into their business.
Seems like a money making opportunity to me.
I am sure that it wouldn't take much to hire a few Executive Outcomes types to travel on these ships through the Somali waters. Skinny with RPG bobbing about on a motor boat versus .50 cal on ship. Guess I know who I'd bet on.
