So my HTC One X, gave up the ghost...switching on and off, the whole time...Sent to MTN, was then sent to HTC agents...that replaced the motherboard, and numerous other components, as per the repair breakdown I got...all was fixed under warranty...got phone back, literally lasted about 24 hours, before same crap happened...its now back at HTC...anyways...I need my Capitec Banking App on the wifi android Tab...any ideas how i can get the .apk file for the app from Google Play? Google Play will not allow me to download app to my tab, compatibility issue...have done a search for the .apk file, found a couple of depositories, but not so sure I want to trust those versions....perhaps a work around to fool Google Play? Much appreciate any help!

I don't think its a good idea to try dodgy methods to get a banking app to work on your tab...
Use your browser and do your transactions from there.

Totally agree, but need the app, to generate a token to access my IB, need to do payments for the month, and I am not forking out for a new phone...did payments ...then called and had my internet banking suspended....jst a work around till I get a working handset back.

Call bank, get IB unsuspended, go to Chrome on your tab, go to Capitec site, log into IB, do payments, profit?

I used TB. I had my banking app on my S2, used TB to back it up and create a file which I transferred to my tablet. Installed it using TB on the tablet - profit

wish it was that simple...Capitec, requires two step verification...so need the token that is generated on your device, to be able to access IB services...anyways...all worked out.

So Capitec REQUIRES you to have a device to use Internet Banking? Thats retarded. How do people use it with their old Nokia's?
