The Goodwe will 100% blend, so will the Sofar. Goodwe comes with an app too, I haven’t used it but looks good.

Check the King SUB option, it is consistent with what I posted. I see the SUB and SBU is basically the same thing for the VMIII.

With some tweaking and a proper sparky I'm sure you can get 3 of those Kings running 3-phase.
My dad is no slouch in this arena and he has done some great things with the Axperts. You just need to know the limitations before you buy, mate.

I installed my VMiii on the weekend and I can confirm that it definitely blends Solar and Grid for outputs greater than available solar when on the SUB setting. I'll get a screenshot of the WatchPower app showing both PV and Grid being used together to meet the current load requirement.

I have the Kodak VMiii 3kw. This is the exact unit I bought:

During the day the panels push around 1100W into our house when we have enough load to use it. That's honestly my biggest problem right now without the battery - hard to keep a consistent load on during the middle of the day when no one is home!

Is that the store you bought it from? The big online stores have hiked their prices and I am struggling to tell which ones are legit in the smaller ones, it would be nice if we had a solar supplier and reviews thread.

Yes, that's the store I bought from - had great service and they were the only ones who had everything I needed at the time in stock, and had free delivery for orders over R10k. Took about a week to arrive, which I can understand as the total order arrived on a huge pallet and weight 160kg!

Someone just liked a prior post of mine when we argued about terminology, about what really constitutes an inverter to be called a hybrid. After this revelation of a VMiii that can blend power I hope we all accept that the terminology in solar systems is used loosely and indeed arguing about it is silly.

imho, a hybrid is a combo between off grid and grid-tied, ie: able to feed into the grid, nothing to do with blending pv with mains.

You've bought the kit already? I would find an installer first and get his opinions on the kit. For example the 25A changeover switch looks inadequate to me, perhaps an installer can advise on a lot of things.
There are many kits out there to choose from.

Not the full kit just the inverter, panels, batteries and some cable and connectors for batteries. Will get the electrician to recommend/supply correct switches
