Some help for the new kid

Thank you JazeSA for providing a first hand experience of the VMIII supporting AC + DC power blending (I was looking for this answer for a while now). I should be able to confirm the same if my unit arrives this weekend.

I also want to say, shame on the 4 pages of squabble that led up to the answer. It makes life for the new kid much harder, not easier.

It also looks like the VMIII unit doesn't take solar seriously if the load is under 300Watt. As soon as I push the load up past 300Watt (the blue blocks) the solar input jumps to it's max delivery. So far all indications show that this unit is actively subsidizing my loads during sunshine periods.

I see it does say for SUB, the fact that Kodak won’t say it’s a Hybrid confuses matters more because it’s the same inverter rebranded.

I’d like to hear from a King owner and see if this actually works.

Yes, the Kodak OG-Plus 5.48 or Kodak King can absolutely blend. I have two. The one is hooked up to very very tired lead acids and is set to SUB, the only time the batteries are used is during a power outage. We power our office on it, and early morning and late afternoon grid is blended in to cover the load.
