Some newbie XBOX360 Questions

stupid question: how the f%@k do you play online? logged on to XBL but cant seem to find where multiplayer is on GTA4?? help plz :P
 
It's on the phone. Above options, watch out for FudzyZA, he might just shoot you :D

GTA4 is a bit of a different cat, as Fudzy says, it's on the phone, chose a "Quick match" You'll be against yanks, I don't know how the lag goes on GTA4, but add me, lazy, and there's about a dozen WrG's with 360's. From there you can use FoF to find local games.
 
so an elite is black and comes with a harddrive? and the normal is just white?
any other changes such a heating or anything?
Ive got R4400 too spend, would like too get HDD with it and just GTA4 so long, whats the best bet?
two contollers is a must aswell

Apparently the normal is the one to go for, at R2999.
Just a diff colour to the Elite and smaller HDD.

And u can use an external one if u really need to.

Elite = Black + 120Gb Harddrive + HDMI cable
Pro = White (Chrome tray) + 20Gb HDD

I think the pro is more than enough. The elite is really for Video Marketplace in the US and EU (and if you must have black)

All the new 360's, Pro, Elite & Arcade have upgraded thermals etc, so long as they have HDMI. (they're not related it's just a sign of the newer model)

I'd say get the Pro and, there's a bundle at CNA for about R600-700, that's a wireless controller and 2 games. So that's R3k + R700 + R700 (GTA4) = R4400, problem solved ;)

Doobwan doing what your saying there does that get u over the
location problem for our restricted downloads?

I ended up setting the 360 locale as UK,never changed my windows live info re address/postcode etc but had to hook up thru UK proxy for a UK IP address for it to work for me.

Are u having success without having to bother with the proxy that way?
 
No you need to use a proxy or VPN to access restricted content.

NOTE: you don't need a proxy or VPN to play normally
 
Some mission getting to play online with the xbox. But tell me, is it all worth it? And how much Cap does it consume?

It's really simple getting set up, I think it took me 5 minutes,.,

It's well worth it (any online gaming is IMHO) and the cap is depending on what game you are playing
 
What you think? I can get a 22" with built in audio and HDMI.
